Born and raised in the Chicagoland area, Sakari began writing and recording songs at 10 years old.
She pursued music throughout her childhood and teenage years and continued on to Nashville where she earned a Bachelors degree in Vocal Performance along with no small amount of experience in live music.
Sakari has held residency at venues and bars on the Broadway strip, she has played shows at private parties and festivals like Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo and has performed for music videos and Award Shows with artists such as Jessy Willson, Tori Kelly & Kirk Franklin.
After almost 7 years in Nashville, Sakari pressed on to Los Angeles where she is currently based. Here, she works on a variety of studio projects with artists and producers alike, all the while continuously working on her personal career as an artist/songwriter and vocal producer for HipHop/R&B vocal bass duo, Smōca.
